Description of Process for this Submission
HOPE is a limited edition letterpress print produced as part of Hope is Action: a collaborative project by American designers initiated to inspire action, new ways of thinking, and new ways of being. This handset metal type composition uses layering to redefine glyphs (I U : 7) as new letterforms, creating a dynamic abstraction of the word HOPE. Typeset by hand in various sizes of Huxley Vertical and letterpress printed using a Colt’s Armory platen press.
